Through this combination of online courses participants examine key water systems issues that represent a critical challenge to long-term sustainability, including water pollution, the depletion of major aquifers, and the deterioration in continental watersheds. Participants also explore water conservation policies, strategies, and technologies.

K-12 Sustainability Education Strategies Specialist
This specialty certificate includes an emphasis on teaching methods and curriculum integration for educators looking to enhance their teaching of sustainability concepts, to broaden their application of STEM skills in the classroom, and/or to implement water systems-focused change in their schools. The certificate is comprised of the Introduction to Sustainability course from the Apprentice Certificate, the Core Concepts in Sustainability course from the Professional Certificate, as well as the 7.5 hour online course K-12 Sustainability Education Strategies.
