We depend on extensive control and manipulation of natu- ral resources to meet these needs. Although modern water infrastructure in developed countries has brought enormous benefits in terms of improved health, higher food production, and increased energy generation, many people question the sustainability of our water systems. In this unit, we will explore the benefits and problems created by water systems.
