Unfortunately, the water is being used faster than it can be replenished, and there is a serious risk of it running dry. In this activity, you will explore the challenges and solutions facing people who rely on aquifers. 1. Work with a partner to research how water from aquifers is used around the globe. 2. Plan andwrite a letter to farmers who rely onwater fromaquifers. In your letter, list at least three challenges created by the overuse of aquifers. Then offer at least one solution that might help farmers use water efficiently today while preserving it for future generations. 3. Read your letter out loud to the class.
